This year Prints of Hope will be heading to Jesus, Paraguay where hundreds of families are either homeless or live in conditions that are extremely sad to see.  According to statistics this is one of the poorest areas in Paraguay.  The volunteers who participate in this project will be constructing 10 much needed houses. These houses will become homes for 10 families with the most urgent needs.

Volunteers will also be participating in the Dress A Child program where we will be providing clothing and shoes for 5,000 children.  Along with these projects, we will be providing daily medical assistance in the surrounding villages.  We will be hosting a daily live 45 minute radio segment discussing educational health topics.  The days will be ending with evangelistic campaigns every night in hopes of bringing many to Jesus.  The location Jesus, Paraguay is in great need of all the basic things we usually take for granted.  Due to the poverty level, adults and children suffer from many medical conditions that can be prevented by simply providing homes, clothing, and education.

We desperately need volunteers to join us in this mission to leave prints of hope in the district of Hohenau.  You will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of many.

Cost: $530 includes your transporation in Paraguay, insurance, food, lodging and a small contribution towards construction. (Airfare is not included) You have the option of paying the trip all at once or by the following deposits:

First Deposit Due: $200           March 15

I am part of the Habitat for Humanity volunteer team that is building on this site and have had the opportunity to see the work that Prints of Hope are doing here in Paraguay. I am incredibly impressed with the team. They have been working extremely hard. The opportunity they are offering the people in this community is fantastic. It is great to see the joy on the faces of the families as their house is going up. It is fantastic to see the children with their cherished new toy and shoes. Everyone in the town knows about the project and is talking about it and we are being welcomed with open arms by them all. To anyone who is considering joining a future project I strongly urge you to do so as the difference you are making is not only going to effect the one family but the entire community.

Just a note to say "Thank you" to all the volunteers that went to Paraguay, and to the group of volunteer that went with Habitat for Humanity. It was a great experience being able to join effort and make a difference in "De Jesus"
community. We left with empty hands but our hearts are full of the love that we received and memories that will always be part of us.

Our medical team was great, our pharmacist tech were awesome. We were able to see over 500 people most of them kids in few days, in a very uncomfotable place but no one compalinted. Lots of hurting people, physical and spiritualy. Some of the volunteer took time to pray with some of the patients and share Jesus Christ with them.
There was a little girl that came in crying in a lot of pain she had been bitting by ants and her leg was really bad running high fever. Dr. Sterling decided that she needed to go to the hospital, family did not had any money but our group did not gave up, made some calls and finalyy we got the sanatorio adventista hospital to receive her. As the little girl was being carry by her mother she said "Thank you" in such a way that those around her were touched. Three day later she was released from the hospital doing great.

I know all the volunteer gave our best during the stay,DAC was amazing being able to see the smiles in the children specially at the two indian village, what amazing experience.

And to our construccion team, WOW!!! under rain, cold, mud, getting up early, just name it, they continue working to be able to provide these families a new home. May God bless all of you and hope to see all af you soon.

Last I will share with all of our volunteer a word that Alba (Consajal) said to me: "Tell everyone that I am thankfull for everything that our team did but specillay for showing love, compasion to my people, something that here in Paraguay we don't experience, thank you, thank you..."
